Share on: Exotic items are one of the highlights of Destiny 2: Forsaken as they often boost your Power levels significantly as well as come with a variety of interesting mods. It can take a while to obtain the Exotic gear you want, depending on how long you spend grinding or what missions you complete.
The drop rate of Exotic gear is also lower in Destiny 2: Forsaken which slows things down even further.
This guide will focus on six of the best Exotic items out there and why you should definitely hang on to them. Ace of Spades It goes without saying that, in lieu of his death, you probably shouldn’t be dismantling Cayde-6’s favourite weapon. Everyone can get this Exotic hand cannon by completing the Forsaken main story; the gunsmith on the Traveler will give you the quest to find it.
Whilst the Ace of Spades isn’t the rarest of weapons it is very special, not least because of the sentiment. The reload action is as flamboyant as it is rapid, and the weapon packs a bunch, harking back to the superior hand cannon from the Halo franchise. It’s useful in both PvP and PvE and can drop at a higher Power level depending on when you try and obtain so might even boost your numbers a little. The Exotic perk for this weapon is Memento Mori, which gives you a few extra damage bullets in the magazine if you reload after a kill and grants radar whilst aiming.
The weapon also has Corkscrew rifling, which increases range, stability and handling speed; high-calibre rounds which increases the range, smooth grip which increases handling speed and stability and the aptly named Firefly, whereby Precision kills with the weapon increases the reload speed and causes the target to explode, dealing Solar damage to nearby enemies. As Mal said, “Someone ever tries to kill you, you try to kill ’em right back!” Ursa Furiosa These are Exotic Titan arms made with the Sentinel Void subclass in mind.
The new subclass tree that you can unlock with Forsaken allows you to bring up a shield to block damage whilst simultaneously allowing your teammates to shoot through the shield and gain a damage boost in the process. It’s a handy Super to have in a boss fight and the Ursa Furiosa – Angry Bear – arms make it even better. The Exotic perk, Ursine Guard, allows you to move faster with the sentinel shield is active and guarded damage converts to Super energy when the Super ends.
Basically, the more fire you’re under, the more Super energy you’ll recover, so if used strategically you’ll be able to use the Super over and over in quick succession. Shards of Galanor These are Exotic arms again, this time for the Hunter class with the Blade Barrage Super in mind. The Exotic perk is Sharp Edges, where hits and kills with the Blade Barrage will return Super energy when the Super ends. Much like the Ursa Furiosa perk, if you use this perk strategically you will be able to refill your Super energy bar very quickly to inflict massive damage to your enemies.
One-eyed Mask The Exotic item is a Titan helmet. Many players have already obtained this item and its design was a hot topic on launch. The Exotic perk with this item is Vengeance, which marks the enemy that dares to damage you so that you can track down and destroy your enemy for increased damage and overshield. This makes it incredibly useful in PvP and PvE events like Gambit and Crucible. Considering you might take a bit of damage in the process, the overshield is a welcome bonus when you’re on the hunt for that Guardian who had the audacity to shoot you, so you can see why it’s a fan favourite.
Phoenix Protocol Warlock’s can search the Exotic chest piece, Phoenix Protocol. This item is built with the Solar subclass in mind, the Well of Radiance. The Exotic perk is Battle-Hearth, where kills and assists made whilst standing in the Well of Radiance returns Super energy.
Again, a similar system to that found with the Hunter and Titan arms and one that can be used effectively for maximum power. This is an absolute must-have item for Warlocks who are considering attempting the Last Wish raid. One Thousand Voices One Thousand Voices is an Exotic raid fusion rifle, which can appear in the final chest drop upon completing the Last Wish raid.
It goes in your heavy weapon slot and its perk is Ahamkara’s Eye, wherein charging this weapon unleashes a giant continuous beam of death. This slight bit of overkill pairs nicely with its second Exotic perk, Unforeseen Repercussions, where the weapon’s beam superheats its target upon impact, causing delayed explosions.
Nice. It’s a great weapon that dishes out both direct and follow-up damage, providing you remember who you’ve shot at and you don’t get too close. It’s reminiscent of Mass Effect 2’s Collector Assault Rifle, with its bony exterior and powerful beam.
It also has an Extended Barrel, which increases its range, decreases its handling speed and moderately controls recoil; Liquid Coils, which increase impact damage but has a slower charging time, and a Fitted Stock, which increases stability, slightly decreases the handling speed and moderately controls recoil. There are many Exotic items still to be found in Destiny 2: Forsaken and if we’ve missed your favourite then send us a message and we can add it to the list.
If you’re struggling to boost your Power level, for all things Destiny 2: Forsaken. Happy hunting!
best dating a hunter destiny 2 build pve 2018 forsaken - Destiny 2: Hunter Nightstalker guide
Our Hunter Nightstalker guide contains all of the subclass's abilities, passive abilities, grenades, dodges and other upgrades. Hunters in Destiny 2 can be likened to acrobatic ninjas, able to outmaneuver and outgun their opponents with deft dodges and devastating headshots.
Although all of these subclasses remain similar to that of the first game, many of them have had quite a few tweaks which give them extra tools to excel on the battlefield.
We’ve been playing the Nightstalker a great deal and it’s come to be one of our favourite subclasses in the game. It’s a subclass fine tuned for both PVE and PVP, with skills that can mess with enemies and make them easy pickings. To help you make the most of its strengths, we’ve put together a guide that’ll aid you on the battlefield.
Editor’s UPDATE #2: At the top of this page we’ve highlighted our favourite Nightstalker build When you've finished brushing up on the Hunter Nightstalker, why not get a head start on the other subclasses by reading our ? It's got all the latest information on every character class that we currently know about! Our favourite build When we login to play our Hunter, there’s only one build we turn to for PVE activities, and that’s our Way of the Trapper + Orpheus Rig combo.
It works so well because Orpheus Rig recharges your Super bar with every enemy that’s caught in your Shadowshot’s tether, while Way of the Trapper’s Shadowshot has extended tether range. Hit a whole mob of enemies with your Super and you’ve got a high chance that it’ll be usable again immediately after the fight. There’s nothing better than hitting a whole group of enemies with your Shadowshot and watching your Super bar shoot right back up again. This also means you’ll be generating tonnes of Orbs of Light for your team whenever a large group of enemies appears - who said Hunters weren’t useful?
Essential Tips and Tricks Below we’ve listed some key bits of info which’ll help you out tremendously when playing Nightstalker. • If you’re heading into PVP, consider going with the Way of the Trapper skill tree. The Snare Bomb ability is a disruptive dream which slows and disorients enemies who are caught in its blast.
What’s more, it’s not even tied to your grenade slot, so you’ve effectively got one for support and one for damage. • Throw the Snare Bomb down at your feet in PVE and it’ll make you go invisible for short period. This is fantastic for any activity that requires you to “hack” or “activate” something as you can simply slip past any enemies and interact with the object under their noses without taking any damage.
• Don’t hesitate to choose the Nightstalker subclass when going into a Raid or Strike activity. Your tethers are an excellent damage booster and can generate tons of Orbs for your team. • As your Super will tether an enemy, hold them in place and increase the damage they receive, use it as a support ability in PVP.
Wait for an enemy who relies on melee to pop their Super and activate yours to hold them in place! • If you’re in a Public Event, Strike or Raid make sure you use your Super on a crowd of enemies. This will maximise the number of Orbs you generate, in turn, helping your allies recharge their Supers incredibly fast. Our most popular Destiny 2 guides: • 1. Guide - • 2. Crucible - • 3. Beta - • 4. Subclasses - • 5. Strikes - Super Ability: Shadowshot • Tether a large group of foes to a Void Anchor, slowing and silencing them for your fireteam.
Way of the Trapper These are passive class abilities. • Snare Bomb: Throw a smoke bomb trap from a distance with this Melee Ability. The smoke bomb sticks to surfaces and detonates when enemies are near, slowing and disorienting them. • Keen Scout: Sprint and sneak faster, and gain an enhanced tracker. Tethered enemies are marked for easy tracking.
• Deadfall: The Void Anchors fired from Shadowshot become traps and wait for prey. Void Anchors have increased range and last longer.
• Vanishing Step: Dodging makes you vanish from sight for a short time. Way of the Pathfinder • Vanish in Smoke: Throw a smoke bomb explosive from a distance with this Melee Ability. The smoke bomb creates a cloud that makes you and nearby allies invisible. • Lockdown: Grenade and smoke effects last twice as long, allowing for strong territorial control and increased damage potential.
• Heart of the Pack: Killing tethered enemies creates Orbs of Light and increases Mobility, Recovery, and Resilience for you and nearby allies. • Moebius Quiver: Fire Shadowshot multiple times in rapid succession. Shadowshot deals massive damage against tethered enemies. Grenades • Swarm Grenade: A grenade that detonates on impact, releasing multiple drones that seek nearby enemies.
• Incendiary Grenade: A grenade whose explosion catches enemies on fire. • Tripmine Grenade: An explosive grenade that sticks to surfaces and detonates when enemies pass through its laser trigger. Dodges Two types of dodge tied to the Hunter class. • Gambler’s Dodge: Dodging (double tapping circle) near enemies generates Melee energy. • Marksman’s Dodge: Automatically reload your equipped weapon when Dodging. Jumps • High Jump: While airborne, jump a second time to reach greater heights. • Strafe Jump: While airborne, jump a second time with strong directional control.
• Triple Jump: While airborne, sustain your air control with a second or third jump. That's all we have on the Hunter Nightstalker so far, but we'll make sure to refine this guide when more information comes our way - keep this page bookmarked for more!
This is ALL you ever need in PvE. The perks, exotics, mods ALL support the subclass they're associated with. I tested EVERYTHING. So before you mention another exotic, i tried it and it wasn't needed in comparison to the perks, mods, and stats, etc.
These builds are balanced perfectly to the rhythm of PvE gameplay. You need nothing else. Enhanced heavy lifting, impact induction, traction, distribution, recuperation, mobility, recovery, the chosen mods, ALL charge or help every combat scenario where any other exotic was pointless.
