We had booked for the Boogie nights party and once we saw we had been put in a separate room muzzy (I think I have pronounced his name correctly) kindly Pre arranged for our party to all be in the function room altogether which was greatly appreciated and made sure we were all happy with what he had re arranged.

A great day at the spa. Treatments were again amazing. The meal. Function. Everything again was all to our expectations. Thank you all again for a pleasant enjoyable stay x I stayed at this hotel with 3 friends on our once a year get away, the idea was to relax and spend quality time together!! The spa was lovely, great facilities and pleasant treatments, the evening meal was delicious and the waiting staff were fantastic and accommodated us very well, we had lovely cocktails in the bar with quick service and polite staff!

Around 23:30 we headed to our rooms! We were staying on the 3rd floor and as we approached our room it was evident that it was directly above the function room hosting a Christmas party, the music was so loud we could hear every word of every song, initially finding it amusing and singing along. The novelty and humour quickly wore off (mysterious girl was the last straw) as we passed midnight, we called reception and were told if would end at one am! By one the music continued, so we called again to be informed they were about to pull the plug, it took another 10 Mins for the music to stop!!

To add insult to injury the people attending the party returned to there rooms yelling and talking very loudly, another customer asked them to keep the noise down.

We were not informed that our rooms were above the party and I’m also guessing the family in the next room with young children were unaware also! I feel better planning would be appropriate, put people attending the event in those rooms and other people in the quieter areas! 4 very tired women went for breakfast which was very nice with a great choice!

Hotel nice, excellent spa facilities and staff in leisure centre & spa polite and helpful. Excellent spa treatments, although one of our group described her facial as ‘a little rushed’. Amazing meal at the Marco Pierre restaurant and our waiter Gilles was fantastic.

Had some cocktails at the bar and made our way up to bed around 23.30. As we got to our rooms it became clear that we were above one of the function rooms which had loud music playing. By midnight no sound of it ending so I called reception to be told it would be finished by 1am!!!! More effort should have been made by the hotel staff to ensure that people not within that function group were located in another area. Not what you expect when you’ve paid around £500 collectively for the trip We were not informed of this when booking or we may have reconsidered our hotel choice.

At the very least staff should have made us aware at check in so we could have at least planned our time a little differently to account for it. Found check in easy no issues, room was good comfy bed and pillows, everything you need in bathroom. Had booked a meal in evening found the food to be good but thought the menu choice was a bit limited for my tastes, had early morning wake up call and found taxi was waiting for me in reception to take me to airport, only a 7 min journey.

On return to uk taxi waiting to take me back to hotel to pick car up. The thing thtas puts me off was I was staying in hotel on a Sunday night and there was a wedding going on and my bedroom was above the dance floor or so it seemed and could sing along with the music so anyone who wanted an early night wasnt going to get it, which was a shame.
