We love the room and all the custom appointments..it's just cool inside. Add to that the music and viola! Had a bottle of Chappellet Cabernet that was fantastic. Roasted Oysters topped with Gruyere that were delicious. my wife had the giant prawns cooked perfectly and delicious and I had a veal chop cooked on the robata grill that was excellent. The presentations are always beautiful and the food fantastic. Jean Claude and Laurie are always gracious and accommodating.

We went there based on the excellent reviews, especially the “excellent service”. The food was good, not spectacular. We really wanted to try the French onion soup and we each ordered it. The waiter came out after quite a long time and told us he forgot to put in our soup order (after we had already had our appetizers and salad).

He said the entrees were up and asked if we still wanted the soup. We said YES and I suggested he bring us the soups and redo the entrees when we were ready. He said no and would bring the soup after the entrees and not charge us..whatever. However, he never brought the soup-he forgot again. I then spoke to the owner and he apologized and said he’d deal with the waiter, but offered no other compensation. We sat the bar and observed the owner-not very impressed and actually grossed out by his navel length pony tail flopping around in front of him and in diners orders.

His hair was gray, but the end of the pony tail was dark brown, ewww. I’m sure that’s a health code violation, did he ever hear of a hair net? Won’t ever go back. Visited for the first time and was not disappointed! This is an excellent place for small plates and sharing.

We love to try new things and we always share, so their menu was perfect for that and we got to try a number of items. We started out with the charcuterie and cheese boards, both excellent with quite a variety. Sampled the French onion soup and it was absolutely delicious! Probably my favorite thus far. Lots of cheese just the right amount of bread.

I loved the the onions and the consistency of the broth. We sampled the pork lollipops, the chicken confit, and grouper. Also tried the beets (get them!) and the artichoke fritters (get them!). Of everything we tried, probably the grouper was just so-so for me. Our waiter was Johnny on the spot, very friendly, and explained everything from the start. Great atmosphere; small and cozy without being crowded in. Don't miss this little gem!

Very nice place-a little hard to find. Located behind other stores and restaurants-thank goodness for arrow signs. Small & intimate perfect for a date night. We had the Wagu Sliders, fillet mignon, and octopus. The meat dishes were fantastic and the octopus unfortunately was tough.

Very nice attentive staff. Unique menu. Would definitely return. How refreshing it is to have a food experience. How many of can honestly say that? Well, visit this place and you will experience what it means. First, the place is very small with very tight tables. There are really two menus, the menu that they hand you to review and then a long list of items that are specials of the evening. My husband and I shared an appetizer that was a medley of different shell seafood in a cream sauce with crostini points.

Very good and very rich. We ordered the surf and turf which was a super large pawn and a filet mignon served with risotto and vegetables. My husband ordered the double pork chop and a side order of Brussel sprouts. I have to say the Brussel sprouts were outstanding, no doubt the best I ever had. Frankly they were so good that if this was the only thing I ever eat again, I would be happy. My husband loved what he had. The table next to us ordered another special which was the ginormous prawn and a stone crab claw.

It was the most beautiful representation. When we are back in the area, we will stop by again. This was our first visit to this charming south Ft. Myers hidden jewel. The receptionist was kind, efficient, and warm. The food was extraordinary from the tantalizing escargot to the skewered shrimp , topped off by the Australian baramundi that melted in your mouth!

Sadly this fine experience was heavily clouded by our waiter who negligently did not return our credit card after having run the card and bringing it back for our signing of the cc receipt. In our earnest attempt to provide a generous tip. We finished our business and were on our way to our car when we ticked off our restaurant "flightlist" of items we should be leaving the restaurant with, discovering we had only one of 2 cc's we had brought.

We had to go back into the restaurant and search down assistance. We were told to wait! Finally our waiter came out and fanned out from his shirt pocket 2 credit cards that had been left by his customers. He brusquely asked our name. Confirmed it. Gave us our card and simply walked away without a simple apology or explanation. Sigh...absolutely FABULOUS experience up until what should have been an efficient and gracious payment experience! • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • By Hotel Type • • • • • • • By Hotel Class • • • By Hotel Brand • • • • • • • • • • • Popular Amenities • • • • Popular Neighborhoods • • • • • • • • Popular Fort Myers Categories • • • • • • • • • • • Near Landmarks • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Popular Types of Food • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Popular Dishes • • • • • • • • • • • Popular Restaurant Categories • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • More • • • • •

We had excellent food, the appetizers were very tasty, I had the octopus, and it was done perfect. We also had the buffalo style cauliflower, and it was fantastic. I had the Bolognese Papardele, and it was tasty, and a nice sized portion. The owner came out to check on us, and made us feel very good about coming. Would have rated five stars, but we felt that at the end of the meal, the staff were in a hurry to close, and wanted us to leave.

First impressions are lasting. They didn't pull it off. Cosy (small) dining area was cramped as the waitress' behind hit me as she squeezed by an 8 top. The "home made" tortilla chip served with hummus at the start was inedible, although the hummus was good.

Appetizer of deviled eggs with crab for $11 had no crab taste whatsoever, simply 3 halved eggs. The entrees were good. Triple Tail over asparagus and diced potatoes was tasty but over priced. The Bolognese pasta was also quite good but once again overpriced.

No liquor service. Apps, entrees with 3 glasses of wine was $180 tip included. Server was well traveled and we knew his travels, muscle car etc.Too much talk and not enough attention. The chief and I haven’t been to this spot since it changed hands from the blue window but friends told us it was good so we drove the 15miles to try it. We arrived early, and the hostess seemed flustered and she sat us at a table adjacent to the front door.

When I asked if we could move she said no, all the other tables were reserved. So every time someone came it it was cold. Food was good, but no better than a lot of places in sw FL.

They like to do local food from local purveyors. I had the lamb chops and the chief had a big ribeye. Limited wine by the glass selection, but good beer selection. Our server was wonderful though. We finally were able to dine at Harold’s on a recent Saturday night. Reservations are definitely a must here, this place is small -and popular! We liked the vibe inside, very intimate but still enough space between the tables.

The staff is very welcoming and they all seem to participate in your dining experience, whether it’s bringing bread or filling water glasses. The service here is awesome. There was a set menu for the night, I think this may be the norm here.

There certainly were enough enticing choices, it was still difficult to pick. For starters, we went with the roasted buffalo cauliflower and the beet tartare. Both were very good but the cauliflower was spectacular. We’ve had other versions of this at other eateries, but Harolds really gets it perfect! For entrees, we went with the paparadelle bolognese and the hogfish. Both were excellent in taste and presentation. We added a side of the sweet chili Brussels sprouts which we also loved.

As I said earlier, several staff members were involved in our meal but our main server was also noteworthy regarding knowledge of the menu and efficiency. Great food and awesome service in an intimate setting- definitely a winning combination!! Prices are fair and easily commensurate with the food quality. Harold’s is worthy of the high praise it gets on Trip advisor....

Went last night to Harold’s He made some decor changes that made the place so warm. New chairs , fresh paint job, and done more changes on the way The food was over the top!!! Started with a large cheese platter Had salad with goat cheese. Husband had pasta with butternut squash.

Main we both had the duck Breast that was awesome Great experience. One thing I would like to say to people who do go there frequently is if you make a reservation as they are required and you cant make it kindly call and cancell .its a small restaurant with notbto many tables so being courteous to the owner is helpful Definitely go and check out Harold’s you won’t be disappointed We had high hopes from what we had read about this restaurant.

Maybe our expectations caused us to be more disappointed than we normally would have been. I had the duck which was good along with the sweet potato that came with it. But they also served carrots. I thought two orange vegetables was a little strange. My date had the rabbit with beans. Not a whole lot of flavor going on. Desserts were good. Wines were good. Décor was plain and the tables were too close. Sorry Harold. It was good, but not great.

Maybe I'll try something different next time. • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • By Hotel Type • • • • • • • By Hotel Class • • • By Hotel Brand • • • • • • • • • • • Popular Amenities • • • • Popular Neighborhoods • • • • • • • • Popular Fort Myers Categories • • • • • • • • • • • Near Landmarks • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Popular Types of Food • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Popular Dishes • • • • • • • • • • • Popular Restaurant Categories • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • More • • • • •
