A couple of them are US made and there’s a lot of information about dating those, but I can’t find anything about the English ones. Are there any resources regarding the English Stanleys, or does anyone here have information about the manufacturing timeline?

I’ve found some information on other English planes like Record and Woden but nothing on the Stanleys. I’ve read that UK Stanleys and Record planes follow each other closely regarding changes and features, so that may give me a rough indication of the year. •

Since I am in the process of doing my usual stuff with my latest tool finds, I thought it would be a good time to go over with you about deciphering the various Type studies and how to use them to come up with an approximation of its vintage. I previously went over a but have yet to find my original pictures for my illustrated list. The frog has a slot at its bottom (the portion nearest the mouth) to fit over the rib cast in the bed.
