was for Nintendo Switch as a free download via the Nintendo eShop. Epic Games’ popular battle royale title initially launched in 2017 on competing platforms such as . While Sony’s console is superior in terms of producing more enhanced visuals, the Switch has perks of its own like handheld mode. Check out the video below for a graphics comparison between both versions: I think they should have included the mobile version as I thought this looks pretty good on my phone when I briefly checked it out.

And it would be more interesting than a PS4 or PS4 Pro as it’s not really a game that needs that hardware. It might have sharper textures and all, but the experience is designed to be the same. Like The differences are: 1) Level of details of objects: If you see a building very far far away from it the details are very low on the Switch in compares of PS4. Not a big deal. 2) On the Nintendo Switch the shadows are soft. Still not a big deal. 3) The fps on the Switch is not even 30.

This is a true problem. As I have already wrote in an older post the things that must fixed are: 1) Controls 2) FPS. I just need 30 fps 3) The lag in matches. Yesterday before I deleted the software I played a match and there was a huge lag and I played near the modem-router so it’s not a problem of connection from me but it’s a problem of Epic game servers Liked by I’ve been playing many hours of it on switch the last few days.

Framerate is not something that bothers me as much as others. As long as it stays near 30, I have nothing to complain about. Not once have I felt “aw man, I would be having more fun if the framerate is higher”.

When I’m playing, things like that cease to exist. I only see the gameplay. The muddy, lower res graphics stand out when side by side like this, but again, when playing I stop noticing. I do notice the shorter draw distance on Trees though.

I have had only one hiccup that I noticed that I would blame lag for (in 15+ hours of play), and it was inconcequential. I use Wifi (With a $170 Gaming Router) from a different level of my house from the access point.

No Issues (yet). It also crashed once. That round wasn’t going great anyway. Overall, MY personal experience has been of a smooth running, fun game that I can log into matches for very quickly and painlessly. Why is it that I can be dropped into a 100 player match in 32 seconds in Fortnite (BR), but it can take 8+ minutes to start 4v4 match in Splatoon? Come On Nintendo. Like

Get Fortnite on Nintendo eShop () PS4 Restricts Cross-Login? While you may be running to the eShop to get the game (there’s a link above after all) many Fortnite fans have already downloaded the game and a lot of them are not happy.

In fact, some fans are brimming with anger thanks to Sony’s cunning and some would say unethical antics. Sony is seemingly blocking cross-login and cross-play for Fortnite on the Nintendo Switch. Reddit and Twitter are already swamped with a hoard of complaints from unhappy users. Hey You are currently keeping people who have spent money on your platform for Fortnite from playing their game on the switch.

You are punishing PAYING customers. The days of your resistance to cross platform needs to end today. Fix. This. Shit. — Boogie2988 @ e3 (@Boogie2988) Fortnite for Nintendo Switch has cross-play with all versions of the game… except for PS4. In fact, you cannot use your Fortnite account on the Switch if it's attached to your PS4. Grow up, Sony. — Ryan Brown 🎮 #E32018 (@Toadsanime) If you have logged into Fortnite on your PS4 and are now trying to use the same Epic account on Switch then you’ll see an error message, which reads: “This Fortnite account is associated with a platform which does not allow it to operate on Switch.

Neither the Fortnite website nor Epic customer service are able to change this. To play Fortnite on Switch, please create a new account.” This means you cannot carry over your existing progress, perks and skins to the Switch version. One possible and the most obvious explanation is that Sony is blocking players from moving to Switch, which has naturally made fans angry.

It could have a cascading effect on PlayStation 4 games, as is known to have happened in the past. Epic Games and Nintendo have not responded to the player outrage, but will soon need to fix it or justify the decision somehow to keep Fortnite players on Nintendo Switch.

For those that missed the Nintendo E3 conference, Fortnite Battle Royale is now playable on the Switch. It’s great news for both fans and Epic Games on a number of fronts. Finding people to fill the 100 needed for each match would be a tall order for a game that wasn’t as popular as Fortnite. However, if things do start to wane, Epic Games have made it possible for most players on each platform to join each others servers. This should keep the numbers good for the foreseeable future, although there are some drawbacks.

players can team up with other gamers on Xbox One, PC and Mobile, but they can’t join those on PS4. This is the same for Xbox One, while PS4 players are also barred from joining up with players not on PC and Mobile. The good news for Switch fans, as long as you’ve linked your Switch account to your Epic Games account, you can crossplay with PC, Mac, Xbox and Mobile players. This also means that all purchased content will be present and all progress will be recorded across Xbox, Switch, PC, Mac, and Mobile.

The one massive drawback though is that players who have a PSN linked account can’t switch over to the new Nintendo platform. This means they can’t keep their progress on one account and don’t have access to the cosmetic bought on PS4. This extends to anyone who has ever logged in with the same account on a PlayStation 4 console.

And there isn’t anything you can do about it now, with Epic accounts now locked with those specifications until further notice. If you do try this, an error message from Epic Games pops up, explaining: “This Fortnite account is associated with a platform which does not allow it to operate on Switch. “Neither the Fortnite website nor Epic Customer Service are able to change this. To play Fortnite on Switch, please create a new account.” These problems could be solved in the future, although that seems very likely at the moment due to Sony’s current policy on crossplay.

Epic Games have provided a guide on how to operate your crossplay options on the Nintendo Switch, and can be found below: I’m on Switch - how do I squad-up with a friend on PC, Mac, Xbox or iOS?

• Link your Switch account to an Epic Games account. • Download the Epic Games Launcher on PC or Mac, or if you have an invite, download the game on iOS/Xbox. • Add your friend from within the Epic Games Launcher, the game on PC or Mac, or the game on iOS/Xbox. • Select Duos or Squad mode. • Tell your friend to join your party. I’m on Mobile, Xbox, PC or Mac - how do I party up with a friend on Switch? • You will have to become friends on PC, Mac, Xbox or Mobile first. • The Switch player then needs to be in a non-solo queue and have the game privacy setting set to either “public” or “friends”.

• This will allow you to join your Switch friend’s lobby to squad up.
