The first to hear the news that the settlers had discovered treasure was Captain Redbeard, captain of the Pirate ship Black Seas Barracuda. High winds, turbulent waters and tornado-like storms would have overwhelmed most, but not the Pirates, for they knew what fortunes lay ahead. It's been an expensive and time-consuming project, but these four 'boys' will be thrilled! Just then, looming off in the horizon the Captain noticed the outline of an object. I've held on to their many thousands of lego pieces from the 1980s and 90s all these years and am now gathering them back into the sets they once had. The ship is big and detailed.
There are lots of Pirate minifigures. This, of course, disturbed the Pirates as they knew the doubloons Spanish gold coins the settlers found had belonged to their ancestors. For years, the Pirates had been searching for the same buried treasure that the settlers were now claiming as their own. My cousin got it, while I had the Eldorado Fortress. I am having some difficulty locating several pieces to put the set back to its original condition, but enjoying the challenge.
The set is very similar to the original, but contains a few pieces more than the first set. . Thank you, thank you, thank you, toysperiod. All sorts of hatches and the big captain's cabin. The sails and string all seem to be in good condition.
Box flap Sometime during the 18th century, a peaceful colony of settlers enjoying the island treasures they discovered, suddenly had their serenity interrupted. This set does present a moderate amount of concentration in several areas to get it right. This classic Pirate ship is a must have for any collector. All in all nice piece for display. While I was very spoiled as a kid and had lots and lots and I mean lots of toys, this one piece is one of the few things I really wanted as a kid but never got.
Guaranteed to be 100% complete. The Captain decided to gather his men, load his cannons and set sail to reclaim the Pirate treasures from the Eldorado Fortress. . . .
