I even opened the port 6881 on router and it's still not connecting. Please help soon, this is going to give me a stroke! What other steps can I take to resolve this matter? I have changed the port a few times. All my torrents are stuck at finding peers. Neither of those things seemed to work yesterday even after I had restarted my system multiple times. I uninstalled the bittorrent apgk and reinstalled it.
When I opened it back up today it showed that a torrent that was having the problem yesterday had completely finished downloading. I've looked all over and nobody seems to have been able to really solve this problem yet. Did not solve the problem. I've tried what I do understand and then some people suggest other stuff that I don't understand.
My isp doesn't seem to be blocking torrents per test I ran at. I checked the port and it is not blocked. I saved links to another folder and that's when I noticed torrents connecting properly again. I'm still not sure if it was something I did, so I'm not sure if I should try downloading the software I had on my laptop again or not. I installed the bittorrent apkg and rebooted several times. There are hundreds of seeders per the sites I'm getting the torrents from. Guess I'll have to find a download for an older version.
Which is weird None of which are actually relevant for troubleshooting here. I also tried that, but it didn't help me either. Other torrents I tried downloading works perfectly though. Just yesterday bittorrent stopped connecting to peers altogether. So maybe try just leaving one to try and download and restart or shut down your computer or something? Haven't seen that message before.
Haven't used uTorrent in a while and just installed version 3. How come the download suddenly got stuck after I got the new version of BitTorrent? I've been downloading torrents for years now, and for some reason they wont download anymore? It also doesn't support the latst uTorrent. Before it would occasionally fail it would take around 10 mins for it to update seed info which is within the 15 min default rss sync time, but releases are usually posted multiple times by different users so something was nearly always snatched. I am still receiving this error. All trackers either give no such host is known or connection timed out.
Solutions or test instructions would be greatly appreciated. I haven't tried it yet as I am afraid of blowing away all of the torrents I currently have. Is there anything I can do to resolve this? This seems to be a new problem for you. Just yesterday I noticed my torrents were stuck at 0 progress and not connected to any peers whatsoever. I tried deleting the download and restarting it but now it's just stuck at the beginning with the same status with the peers and trackers. Several of these torrents were ones that I had already started to download.
I had noticed that the router has three security levels. Now on my other computer torrents download fine. Though I have read reports from others for which doing so did not solve the same problem I am experiencing. I can upload screen captures, if that will be of help. As a test I grabbed a torrent off of etree. They just sit there until I restart the computer. It was on the lowest setting by default.
If I manually add the torrent anyway, they finish quickly. I went to that link and it said something about them supporting up until BitTorrent 7. I haven't completely uninstalled MacAfee, and am reluctant to do so. I eventually had enough and shut my computer down. Torrent2001 Have you solved this issue or are you still having problems?. I don't know if it was something I did or not, but basically I only did what I already said I did which was I uninstalled any software that I thought might prevent the torrents from downloading and then I also got an earlier version of uTorrent.
If any more information is needed please let me know. Your network is properly configured. Getting red X in circle at bottom right. Also, I had a problem with my router, provided by Comcast, a while back. I will try and post the results.
Just an update on this issue: Kickass is still very slow on updating seed information for newly added torrents it can take up to 6 hours. I changed it to medium without checking to see exactly what it was going to do to me. What status do you have for the actual tracker address? Is the problem version 3. I never opened port 6881 and torrents connected to peers and downloaded normally ever since I downloaded 1. I still can not connect. It seems most releases are failing to be snatched on kickass now because of this.
